The Prosper/McKinney Texas Temple

The Prosper Texas Temple (sometimes referred to as the McKinney Texas Temple) is under construction to serve the LDS communities of Collin, Denton, and Grayson counties. The temple’s placement in the rapidly growing Prosper/McKinney area reflects the Church’s assessment of significant and continuing LDS population growth in the northern DFW suburbs. Before this temple, Collin County LDS members drove to the Dallas Texas Temple (approximately 35-50 minutes from Prosper). The new temple will provide significantly closer access for the Frisco, McKinney, Prosper, Allen, and Allen communities.

Ryan Brown, Principal Broker & CEO Own Luxury Homes®

“The LDS family that is comparing Lehi, Utah to Frisco, Texas is making a real and important calculation. Lehi has the temple and the LDS density but the prices have followed. Frisco has the LDS community density, the temple coming, and an income tax advantage that over a 20-year career adds up to real money. Both are excellent choices. The right answer depends on which community feels like home.”
